Journal Lists Philly Area's 100 Wealthiest Zip Codes

Zip codes along the Main Line scored high on the top 100.

Villanova, Gladwyne and Merion Station top the Philadelphia Business Journal's list of the Greater Philadelphia Area's 100 wealthiest zip codes. The Journal's list comes courtesy of Esri, a geographic information provider. The site does not disclose its method for ranking the zip codes. 'The Philadelphia Story' Movie Inspiration: Go Inside Ardrossan Estate

Take a look inside the historic estate in Villanova that inspired the play and film The Philadelphia Story.

The famed Ardrossan Estate, built between 1911 and 1913, not only inspired the film The Philadelphia Story, but it is a part of Main Line history, and Main Line Today got a chance to go inside.  Col. Robert Leaming Montgomery and his wife, Charlotte Hope Binney (Tyler) Montgomery were the first occupants of the 50-room Georgian Revival home.  Col. Montgomery founded Janney Montgomery Scott LLC.  The home has an extensive art collection, including pieces by Thomas Sully, Gilbert Stuart, George Healy and Charles Willson Peale.  The 350 acre estate is the largest undeveloped piece of land in Radnor Township.  To read more from Main Line Today and to see the photo gallery, click here. 8 'Stoga Players Named to Girls LAX Team

Eight Conestoga girls lacrosse players have been named to the Main Line Media News All Main Line 2012 team.

The competition is tough but these young women are too. Eight Conestoga High School girls lacrosse players have been named to the All Main Line Girls Lacrosse team as published by Main Line Media News. Seniors Sarah Priem and Emily Pillion were named to the first team, along with Pioneer Junior Meghan McGillis. Juniors Catie Smith and Blake Hamblett were named to the second team. Senior attacker Kelly Morrison; Junior Midfielders  Mackenzie Orr, and sophomore midfielder Maggie Friel received honorable mentions for the All-Main Line team.
