Water main construction will shut down a section of a Tredyffrin Easttown road just as commuters head back to work next week.
Aqua Pennsylvania will begin installing a new water main on Berwyn Paoli Road on Wednesday morning (Jan 2). This stretch of road is just west of Lancaster Ave, (a few hundred feet south of the Goodwill Store and Play it Again Sports) and it is literally on the borderline between Tredyffrin and Easttown Townships. The shutdown of the road will come just as many people are returning to the daily commute following holiday vacations. According to a letter sent to customers in the region, the stretch of road is on Berwyn Paoli Rd. from a point 180 feet east of Country Rd. to a point 270 feet west of Country Rd. The work hours for the project will be 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily. The roadway will be closed in the area of construction. …

The proposal hits a temporary snag over concerns about a driveway.
The owners of the proposed Devon Audi site will be back in front of the Easttown Board of Supervisors on Monday (December 17) trying to win approval to put the car dealership on the former ANRO printing company site. A hearing last Monday, December 3 was put on temporary hold over concerns about a driveway that would empty onto Fairfield Road. Local residents do not want any traffic coming or going from the proposed Devon Audi dealership on the side street. YBH Audi wants to keep the current driveway open but has promised to put a no left turn at the end of the driveway to prevent traffic from exiting into the surrounding neighborhood. Chester County wil spray for mosquitoes Wednesday night between 8 and 11 p.m. The County Health Department released the following information on its website: Weather permitting, the Chester County Health Department will conduct a mosquito control treatment in portions of Easttown Township. Click here for a map of the treatment area. The treatment will be conducted on Wednesday, August 29th between 8:00pm-11:00pm. The treatment will be administered with truck-mounted spray equipment.
