Tredyffrin Polling Place Moves

Voters should adjust plans for Tuesday's primary election.

Residents in Tredyffrin Township's W3 precinct should no longer plan to vote in the township building community room, as they did in last fall's general election. For Tuesday's primary election, W3 voters should go to Del Chevrolet at 1644 E. Lancaster Ave. in Paoli, according to county election officials. The polling place had moved to the township building last year, Patch reported, because of construction at the dealership. If you're not sure which precinct is yours, find it through the state's website. All polling places will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Sand Out, Mulch In at Strafford Park Playground

The tot lot has been closed recently, but should reopen soon.

Wondering why the playground in Strafford Park is closed off and busy with earth-moving equipment? According to Tredyffrin's public works director Scott Cannon, via township manager Bill Martin, the sand in the tot lot is being replaced with mulch to improve safety.   There's no announced date for the work to be completed, but it should not be a long process, Martin said. Girl Scout Robbery Confession Made, Police Say

The 31-year-old former Berwyn resident is charged in other recent incidents, too.

Tredyffrin Township police on Wednesday announced an arrest, and a confession, in the Jan. 20 robbery from a Girl Scout cookie sale at the Berwyn Pathmark. His arraignment and preliminary hearing in Devon District Court are pending.
