Wing Bowl: Tradition or Trash?

Friday is a the 21st year for a Philadelphia’s Wing Bowl.

  The Super Bowl is days away, which means this Friday people will be waking up early for the 21st annual Wing Bowl. The Wing Bowl combines a wing eating contest with a beauty contest of Wingettes. The early-morning event (doors open at 5 a.m.) is known for its scantily clad women, who have been known to flash the crowd, and puking eaters. The story of Conestoga High grad Mark Herzlich's amazing ride from cancer survivor to Super Bowl champion added another all-American fairytale chapter Wednesday morning in the canyons of lower Manhattan. Herzlich tweeted photos and a running commentary from his spot aboard one of the floats carrying the Super Bowl champion New York Giants in a ticker tape victory parade to New York City Hall. It was a celebration complete with women throwing bras at the players.
