Sex Abuse Victim Has Message For Sandusky

A Pennsylvania native and beauty queen has something to say to Jerry Sandusky.

Katlyn Lewicke is a Pennsylvania native, Smith College graduate, Connecticut beauty queen and a survivor of childhood sexual abuse. Miss Greater Rockville (Connecticut), Lewicke is an active volunteer with a number of CSA-related organizations and has assisted on related research and administrative initiatives. Like millions of others, she angered at the Penn State sexual abuse revelations, as well as moved by the plight of Jerry Sandusky's victims. Lewicke sat down on Friday with Vernon, CT Patch to record an open message to former Penn State assistant coach Jerry Sandusky, who was convicted on 45 counts against him. Sandusky, 68, is scheduled to be sentenced on October 9 in Centre County. He faces up to 442 years in prison.

Report: TE alumni are among hundreds who tell the new Penn State President exactly what they think of the Sandusky sex scandal and the firing of Joe Paterno.

Hundreds of Penn State graduates from Tredyffrin, Easttown, The Upper Main Line and throughout the greater Philadelphia region packed a meeting room at the Radisson in King of Prussia Thursday night to vent their frustrations over the child sex abuse scandal and the firing of Penn State Football Coach Joe Paterno. Newly appointed Penn State President Rodney Erickson told the crowd that he was not at the Board of Trustees meeting when the decision to fire Paterno as head coach was made. He encouraged alumni in the crowd to question board members and ask "hard questions". Feds Launch Penn State Investigation

Local Congressman, a former federal prosecutor, pushed for the federal investigation.

U.S. Representative Pat Meehan (R-PA7) is getting what he asked for. According to a report on Philly.com, the U.S. Department of Education has launched an investigation into the child sex abuse scandal at Penn State University. Meehan, whose district includes parts of Easttown,  asked for the investigation in a letter to U.S. Education Secretary Arne Duncan earlier this month as the story around the scandal was breaking. According to a news release from the University posted on the Penn State website on Saturday. the school was notified back on November 9 about the investigation. This is very sad. I can't imagine anyone at the University in charge - not knowing! I don't think the timing for having psu students coming door to door is the right timing right now. Alot of controvese over this - however did give - I would like to see this practice stopped. Not sure anyone else out there feels that way   more ›
