The much-anticipated restaurant is scheduled for a "soft opening" on Lancaster Avenue.
One of the most anticipated restaurant openings on the Upper Main Line is scheduled for lunch time Wednesday when Landmark Americana officially opens for business. The restaurant, in the building that once housed The Paddock at Devon and John Harvard's before that, is the newest place for casual lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch in Devon. Last week managers told TE Patch they planned a "soft opening" for Wednesday, May 2, meaning they'll open for business without big "grand opening" festivities. Landmark Americana is putting the finishing touches in place for next week's scheduled opening.

Township officials were expected to make final inspections Thursday of the facility, according to restaurant managers. Landmark Americana plans to open to the public on Wednesday, May 2. If all goes as planned, the staff will start doing "dry runs" in the days leading up to the opening with invitation-only events that will put the kitchen, bar, and wait staffs through their paces. The restaurant will be open daily …

Authentic Chinese cuisine heats up dining scene
It's not what you might think of when it comes to Chinese food. Ping Pong's co-owner Albert Ran says the Chinese restaurant is authentic Chinese food as you would get in a restaurant in China. Ran and Ping Pong Chef/Co-owner Charlie Zhang have moved in to the space that was formerly Tokyo Fusion and have opened the doors to a world of entrees that, while not impossible to find outside Philadelphia, is far from the typical suburban Chinese restaurant. Tomato and Fried Egg Soup, Scallion Pancake, Spicy Seaweed with Sesame, Cumin Flavored Beef with Chili Sauce, Twice Cooked Bacon with Spicy Sauce, Smoked Hit Green Pepper, Sliced Fish with Salted Mustard Cabbage Soup are just some of the items on the menu, along with more "American" Chinese …

My daughter and I stopped in and I have to say that our waitress was absolutely lovely and very attentive. The salad was 'okay' but the French Onion soup was delicious! A would definitely recommend it, full rich flavor and NOT salty! (*a very good thing these days)   more ›
