World Premiere Debuts in TE

Local playwright/composer's work comes to life on stage in Berwyn and you could win tickets from Patch.

The world premiere of the new musical Places! by local playwright/composer Danny Scott debuted Friday night at Footlighters Theater Company on Main Street in Berwyn The original musical, about the relationships forged in community theater, runs through February 16 with matinee performances this Sunday (Feb 3). Places! is also part of a Dinner and Theater prize Patch is giving away in our Cutest Couple Contest. One of the prizes in the contest is a gift certificate for $25 for dinner at EmJ's Cafe in Berwyn and two tickets to the Valentine's performance on Thursday, February 14. World Premiere Musical Set to Open in Berwyn

The Main Line's oldest community theater will debut the world's newest musical this weekend.

"Places!" is the cue every actor hears before the curtain rises on live theater. This weekend the curtain rises on playwright/composer Danny Scott's world premiere musical "Places!" at Footlighters Theater in Berwyn. It's a full-fledged original musical with original songs written by Scott who describes the plot as "about a group of everyday people who come together as strangers and form an amazing bond of friendship." A Broadway-caliber show in Berwyn The show features 16 musical numbers that Scott says have everything "from toe tappiing numbers to soft ballads."
