The county health department dings restaurants if they leave slices out too long.
Have you ever looked at pizza slices sitting out at a restaurant and wondered how long they'd been there? The answer: Less than four hours, assuming the restaurant is complying with health guidelines. One nearby pizzeria did not meet that standard when it was inspected in January. At least, it could not prove it was compliant, because employees were not tracking the time slices sat out. Here's the relevent code cited in the pizzeria's violation:

The pizza shop has opened for business where a doughnut shop once operated. That's where the similarities end.
After several months of renovations and a switch from doughnuts, TE's newest pizza take-out and delivery place is open for business. Spatola's Pizza officially opened its doors last Thursday and they're serving up and delivering pizzas, gourmet pizzas, calzones, strombolis and sanwiches from the shop in the former Dunkin' Donuts location at 20 West Lancaster Avenue in Paoli. Owner Massimo Spatola says this is the latest in a small local chain of Spatola family restaurants. The new shop's menu cover sums it up: "from Palermo, Sicily to Philadelphia and finally making their home in Chalfont, PA the Spatola Family has been serving Bucks and Montgomery County for over 30 years." Superbowl Sunday is one of the biggest days of the year for take-out pizza and chicken wings orders. And if you're planning on ordering for game time or even pre-game you may want to consider ordering early. Several local restaurants and carryout places told Patch they're expected an onslaught, starting when the pre-game shows go on the air in the afternoon. At Pizza Hut/Wing Street in Paoli Friday afternoon staffers recommended calling in early on Superbowl Sunday. It's certainly not a requirement, but they say it just helps with preparation time and speed.
