Meehan Says He Will Support 'Obama Boehner Reid' Debt Ceiling Bill
Freshman Republican issues statement as House awaits a vote.
U.S. Congressman Pat Meehan (R-PA7) says he will vote to support a compromise bill to raise the nation's debt ceiling if and when it comes up for a vote in the U.S. House. The version of bill Meehan says he supports was announced by President Obama Sunday night, with few specifics. The congressional party caucuses were being briefed in detail Monday on the details of the deal worked out among the President, Republican House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) Sunday night.
