Snow Biz: Local TV Meteorologist's Winter Weather Prediction

After one of the earliest snows in a generation, are we looking at a wild winter? The answer can affect township budgets.

The Halloween Weekend snow left Tredyffrin and Easttown in a white out that resulted in a black out for thousands of homes all over the Upper Main Line. The early snow was pretty, but pretty messy and expensive. Figures are still being counted on what the storms cost local townships. In Easttown, Assistant Township Manager Mike Brown told Patch he spent much of the summer examining ways to make handling snow on the roads as efficient and cost effective as possible. Patch will have more on the winter snow plans for Easttown and Tredyffrin Townships in coming weeks. One thing is clear, the less snow the better for municipal budgets. Township officials across Pennsylvania would love to have an accurate crystal ball for predicting snow. …

Old Glory in Her Red, White, Blue (& Even More White) Glory

The garrison flag at Wilson Farm Park adds some color to the unusual October snow storm.

On a normal autumn Saturday afternoon Wilson Farm Park would be full of people and sports teams. This Halloween weekend Saturday was anything but normal. Still Old Glory flew over the fields of white dotted by trees full of fall colors.
