Man on Scooter Hit on Lancaster Ave in Devon

Something the rider did just before the crash may have made a huge difference in his survival.

A man riding a Vespa motor scooter was rushed to Paoli Hospital with knee injuries after his scotter struck a car turning left in front of him on Lancaster Ave. The accident happened just before 3 p.m. Thursday across from the former ANRO Printing building on Lancaster Avenue in Devon. Authorities on the scene tell Patch the man flew off the scooter and over the hood of the Toyota sedan that was attempting to make a left turn on Lancaster Ave from the Devon Professional Building. The scooter rider suffered a knee injury but was able to actually get up on his own after flying over the hood of the car.  A police oficer at the scene tells Patch the unidentified motor scooter rider may have seen the car coming out of the driveway in time to …
