Second Prostitution Bust this Month in Devon
A woman and man are arrested, accused of prostitution at the Courtyard by Marriott.
For the second time this month, Tredyffrin Township Police have arrested a woman and an alleged accomplice in a prostitution bust at the Courtyard by Marriott in Devon. According to a press release issued by Tredyffrin Police Friday morning, "officers made contact with " Valerie Andreeva,27, of Philadelphia and Joel J. Davenport, 43, of Audubon, PA at the hotel on Wednesday, (July 25) at 12:30 a.m. . According to police, the investigation determined that "Andreeva was transported by Davenport to the local hotel for the express purpose of prostitution. Further investigation discovered that Andreeva worked for an agency that provided the names of the prospective 'clients.'" The press release makes no mention of a perspective client or …

I think there may be a slight uptick in crime, but I think you are also seeing an increase in reporting of crime. Patch sites are focused on the news and events in a "hyperlocal" area. As a result, stories that may not have gotten much -or any- exposure in larger scale newspapers or TV stations in Philly now get attention here.
