Two Charged in Easttown Burglaries

Two Delaware men charged with multiple felonies are believed to have also burglarized several homes in Delaware County, according to police.

Easttown Police say two men who are facing charges for a string of burglaries in Delaware County are also the culprits behind three recent Easttown burglaries. Daniel Robert Eberly, 27, of Claymont, DE, and Gregory George Kramedas, 68, of Wilmington, DE, were caught burglarizing a Marple Township home earlier this month, according to Marple police.  Physical evidence found in a vehicle used by the men in that case has been linked to three open burglary investigations in Easttown, according to Easttown Police. On Wednesday, Easttown Police charged the men with multiple felonies, including burglary and receiving stolen property. Tredyffrin Police Investigate Home Burglaries

Thieves are going for high value, easy to carry items.

The following information was provided by Tredyffrin Township Police:   BURGLARY 1/3/13 at 1451 hours – Kynlyn Road in Wayne. Police responded to a burglary discovered. The victims stated that jewelry items, an iPad and U.S. currency were stolen from the home. A screen was observed to be removed and placed beside a window. Case is being investigated. BURGLARY 1/5/13 at 1647 hours – 400 block of Churchill Drive in Berwyn. The victim reported that their laptop, valued at $2500 was stolen from their residence. The case is currently under investigation.

Easttown Police Investigate Home Burglary

Easttown Police Detectives are searching for suspect in a daytime home burglary.

Easttown Police Detectives are investigating a daytime home burglary in the 1400 block of Berwyn-Paoli Road. (near the Upper Main Line YMCA). According to police, burglars entered the house last Thursday sometime between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. when the victims discovered the crime and called police. Police says the thieves got a variety of jewelry and a laptop. The value of the stolen items was not immediately known. Meanwhile, Tredyffrin Police Superintendent Anthony Giaimo says there has been an "uptick" in the number of residential burglaries in Tredyffrin Township in recent months. Giaimo reported the increased number of crimes to the Tredyffrin Board of Supervisors during the board's meeting on Monday.  The Tredyffrin Superintendent …

Police Investigate Back-to-Back Break-Ins

Tredyffrin Police say two houses were hit within two-and-a-half hours.

Tredyffrin police are investigating a pair of home break-ins that happened within two-and-a-half hours of each other on the same street. The first was reported at 12:15pm on March 20 in the 1500 block of Yellow Springs Road in Malvern, Tredyffrin Township. Police say he home owner told police that when they returned to the house they discovered the front and rear doors had been forced open. Police say nothing appeared to have been taken and the crime is under investigation. The second break-in was reported at 2:42 p.m. on the same day in the 2100 block of Yellow Springs Road in Malvern. Berwyn Drexel U. Student Charged in Burglary

Police say he broke into a local house then pawned stolen jewelry.

A 19-year-old Berwyn man is facing burglary and related charged for the March 12 break-in of a home in Strafford. Tredyffrin Police say Erik Thomas Mahal of the 300 Block of Abbey Road in Berwyn was arrested after he pawned $15,000 worth of jewelry. Mahal, a Drexel University student, was arraigned Thursday morning before Magisterial District Judge Thomas Tartaglio in Devon. Mahal was released after posting $1,000 cash, which is 10% of the $10,000 bail set by Tartaglio.  Mahall is due back in court on March 28 for a preliminary hearing on the charges.
