Easttown Police seek information about a woman who gestured for children to come over to her van Friday.
Easttown Police Department is investigating a report that a female van driver made two attempts to initiate contact with two young girls in Berwyn Friday afternoon. The incidents occurred around 3:15 p.m., as the children played in the front yard of Sir Speedy, located on Midland Avenue off the 500 block of Lancaster Avenue, according to a police statement: The children ran from the area, and the woman drove off, headed west on Midland Avenue, according to police. The woman is described as 50 to 60 years old with brown-and-gray hair, driving a tan sport utility vehicle, possibly a Chevrolet Blazer. Anyone with information is asked to contact Easttown Police at 610-341-9780.

The flames were controlled within minutes at Coldstream Drive and Contention Lane, a fire chief said.
No one was injured after a small attic fire broke out in a Berwyn home Thursday afternoon, authorities said. Berwyn Fire Co. Chief Matt Norris said no one was injured and damage was fairly minor at 412 Coldstream Drive, a home at the intersection with Contention Lane, near the Swedesford Plaza shopping center. Berwyn, Paoli, Malvern and Valley Forge fire companies responded, along with Tredyffrin police and Malvern Ambulance. The cause of the fire is under investigation, Norris said.

Binni & Flynn's, a Mexican-American bar and restaurant, re-opened in Berwyn last month after a 12-year hiatus. Patch stopped in recently to get to know the owner and the restaurant she revived. After a 12-year hiatus, Binni & Flynn's—a Mexican-American bar and restaurant that was located in the Gateway Shopping Center for 30 years—has been resurrected by the daughter of the original owners, Richard and Irene Coyle. Meridith Coyle opened the restaurant at 575 Lancaster Ave., the former spot of her previous venture, Aneu Bistro in Berwyn. Coyle told Patch the area was in much need of some Mexican flavors. After she closed Aneu, she took a week to construct Binni & Flynn's from top to bottom and reopened the Mexican restaurant and bar on Feb. 25. Have you been to the new Binni & Flynn's?
