Students raise an incredible amount of money in just four days to help Easttown P.D. and Berwyn Fire Co.
Students at Beaumont Elementary School saluted and serenaded first responders of the Berwyn Fire Company and Easttown Police Dept. in a special Heroes Assembly Tuesday in the school cafetorium. They also presented each organization with big checks as a "thank you" gift. The students raised over $1000 by collecting change and doing chores and good deeds to earn money in a four day fundraising drive inspired by the national Martin Luther King Day of Service on June 21. A little extra donation from the Beaumont Home and School Association rounded the total up to $1500. On Tuesday the HSA on behalf of the students and school comunity donated $750 each to the Berwyn Fire Company and the Easttown Police Department. The students presented …

They hope you'll never need them to do it. But if you ever start choking or suddenly stop breathing these Beaumont Elementary School fourth graders now know the basics that could save your life. Dozens of people from Tredyffrin and Easttown were on hand Sunday afternoon for the 20th annual Radnor Fall Festival on North Wayne Ave. in Wayne. It was a beautiful day for the event and lots of TE families stopped by the Patch table in the center of it all to say hi to Radnor Patch Editor Sam Strike and TE Patch Editor Bob Byrne. They also got to spin the prize wheel for some cool Patch swag. Here are a few of the photos of TE Patchers who stopped by. While you're there tag yourself in the photos and please "like" Tredyffrin-Easttown Patch. TE Patch's Facebook page is where we post more extensive photo galleries from community events. It's also the place to find lots of great local business coupons, deals and information about things …

Hats off to Beaumont! What a perfect MLK Day community Service project. There are so many good things about this, I probably won't have enough space to write them all down. When kids are involved in a service project from start to finish, it helps them understand the impact of their good deeds. Doing projects like this together helps them develop a sense of community. It teaches kids that their …   more ›
