Attention Artists: Retreat Show Deadline is Saturday

Submissions for Malvern Retreat House ArtShow2014 are due May 4, and jurying will begin June 3.

Fox, Eagle Adorn the Walls of Tredyffrin Township's Community Room

Nature scenes painted by Lidia Kohutiak will be displayed in the township building's Community Room through April.

If you stop by the Tredyffrin Township building this month or next, be sure to check out the art of Lidia Kohutiak in the Community Room. The Haverford resident is the latest artist to have her paintings displayed at the township as part of an ongoing exhibition arrangement between the township and the Delaware Valley Art League. A short biography of the artist is available on the township website:  Awards Lidia has received include the 2012 Delaware Valley Art League Purchase Prize, a certificate and prize at the 2012 ADM Gallery, a certificate and prize at the Wayne Art Center, and an honorable mention at a juried show at the Community Art Center.  The Tredyffrin Township offices are open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Plein Air Arts Winners

Wayne Arts Center Festival honors best artist in distinctive competition.

The 2011 Plein Arts Festival Exhibition wrapped up Friday at Wayne Arts Center after displaying and honoring painters who captured scenes around the Main Line and Philadelphia. The artists compete by painting a series of outdoor or Pleain Air scenes. TE Patch brought you the story of the last day of painting.
