Devon Audi gets the go ahead IF... and only if... if it can clear more hurdles than the jumping horses who compete a few blocks away.

The Devon Horse show jumping horses have it easy compared to the obstacle course laid out between the proposed Audi of Devon dealership and a final ok to begin construction. Easttown's Board of Supervisors gave the project a conditional green light this week. Now all the Audi dealer must do is jump through 17 hoops before breaking ground on the former Anro Printing property. Most of the conditions are designed to ease the concerns of the residents who live behind the former Anro printing property. It's been a long and winding road for YBH Audi, the dealership that wants to move from its current location on West Chester Pike in Edgmont to the property next to EuroMotorcars Mercedes-Benz on Lancaster Ave. in Devon. Local residents in the …

The owners of the proposed Devon Audi site will be back in front of the Easttown Board of Supervisors on Monday (December 17) trying to win approval to put the car dealership on the former ANRO printing company site. A hearing last Monday, December 3 was put on temporary hold over concerns about a driveway that would empty onto Fairfield Road. Local residents do not want any traffic coming or going from the proposed Devon Audi dealership on the side street. YBH Audi wants to keep the current driveway open but has promised to put a no left turn at the end of the driveway to prevent traffic from exiting into the surrounding neighborhood. At the December 3 hearing several neighbors expressed concerns over plans to allow any traffic to use the…

Easttown Township officials are confirming that a new car dealership will be coming to Lancaster Avenue on the site that was formerly home to ANRO Printing. Y.B.H. Audi has purchased the site and plans to move its Audi dealership from West Chester Pike/Route 3 in Edgemont to the property in Devon. Easttown Township Supervisor Marc Heppe told members of the Berwyn Devon Business Association on Monday Night that Y.B.H. plans to raze the main building on the property to make way for the dealership. Heppe told the association members that the auto dealer plans to keep the currently empty bank building on the west end of the property and lease it out to another bank. Heppe says Y.B.H. will still need to get final approval for development …

It's a long way from a done deal but one company has shown some interest.
It is one of the larger vacant properties that front Lancaster Avenue in TE. The ANRO site, just West of Waterloo Road in Easttown Township is prime property and could one day be home to a car dealership. Easttown officials tell TE Patch that there have been very preliminary inquiries about the site from Y.B.H. Automotive which is looking into the possibility of an Audi Dealership for the site. There's been nothing formal, but there have been some inquiried about potential zoming and development issues that might be involved with putting a car dealership in that location, which is adjacent to Euro Motorcars Mercedes/Smart car and across the street from Masserati of the Main Line.

It may sound like a lot of conditions but we have been through Land Development processes in many townships and Easttown Supervisors have always been fair and keep the surrounding businesses and residential neighborhoods in mind. I am sure that in the end the conditions will make the project better for them and the community! I am really glad to see the project at that location, its a natural fit.   more ›
