13-Year-Old Girl Missing

The teen was last seen in the company of an adult male.

Chester and Montgomery counties have issued alerts for a 13-year-old girl from Reading, who was last seen Wednesday. Destiny Hernandez is described by the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children as an endangered runaway. Destiny may be in the company of an adult male. She has a scar on her left hand. When Destiny was last seen, she had red and orange highlights in her hair. -according to her missing poster. Hernandez is described as being 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing about 180 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. Parents Invited to 'Take 25' for Children's Safety

On Saturday, Tredyffrin Police will host an event to give parents and other guardians the tools they need to keep children safe.

If your child is missing from home, you should start looking for him or her in closets, piles of laundry, around the bed and inside large appliances. That's according to information distributed by Take 25, an initiative from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children aimed at raising awareness of missing children's issues. Tredyffrin Police will host a Take 25 program Saturday morning at Tredyffrin Library, designed to give parents the tools they need to keep their children safe. The program gets its name from its chief purpose: People who come to the free program Saturday will be given a Child I.D. Kit—which has instructions on what to do if your child is missing. Masked Burglar Smashes Through Chuck E. Cheese's, Police Say

But he left empty-handed.

The following information has been provided by the Tredyffrin Police Department. Any arrests or charges mentioned do not indicate guilt or a conviction. Burglary... Tredyffrin Police are investigating a burglary of the Berwyn Chuck E. Cheese's that occurred early Monday morning. At 3:31 a.m., a man wearing a camouflage ski mask used a pry bar to enter the rear of the store, according to police. The burglar broke into the office by smashing the window glass and kicking the door, apparently looking for cash, police said. He left soon after, with no money.  The man is described as being between 5 feet tall and 6 feet tall, with a medium build. Aside from the ski mask, he was wearing dark-colored pants, jacket, boots and gloves.

Driver Held for Trial In 202 Motorcycle Crash

Prosecutors say Robert Landis' blood alcohol content was three times the legal limit.

Robert Elwood Landis, 49, has been ordered to stand trial for second degree homicide, manslaughter, DUI and multiple other charges related to a two-vehicle accident that prosecutors say claimed the life of Liam Crowley of Chesterbrook, Tredyffrin Township. Crowley, who was 24, died two days after his motorcycle slammed into a pick-up truck in the northbound lanes of Wilmington Pike/Route 202 and East Stanton Road in Westtown Township. Prosecutors said Landis, of West Chester, was drunk and driving on a suspended and expired license, when he turned left to cross northbound 202 from the southbound lanes onto Stanton Avenue.  Westtown/East Goshen Regional Police accident reconstruction investigator Ted Lewis testified Tuesday that Landis …

Six Radnor homes have been burglarized since April 23.

Van Driver Twice Approached Young Girls, Police Say

Easttown Police seek information about a woman who gestured for children to come over to her van Friday.

Easttown Police Department is investigating a report that a female van driver made two attempts to initiate contact with two young girls in Berwyn Friday afternoon. The incidents occurred around 3:15 p.m., as the children played in the front yard of Sir Speedy, located on Midland Avenue off the 500 block of Lancaster Avenue, according to a police statement: The children ran from the area, and the woman drove off, headed west on Midland Avenue, according to police.  The woman is described as 50 to 60 years old with brown-and-gray hair, driving a tan sport utility vehicle, possibly a Chevrolet Blazer. 18-Year-Old Charged with Chesterbrook Rape

The teen faces felony charges, including rape of an unconscious victim.

The following information has been provided by the Tredyffrin Police Department. Any arrests or charges mentioned do not indicate guilt or a conviction. Tredyffrin Police on Friday charged an Upper Darby man with rape and related offenses in connection with a sexual assault of a woman that occurred April 21 in the Chesterbrook section of the township. Ainsley Bonitto Jarrett Jr., 18, is in Chester County Prison after failing to post $75,000 cash bail. He faces seven felony charges, including rape of an unconscious victim. Jarrett is scheduled for a preliminary hearing before District Judge Analisa Sondergaard on Friday morning.

Alert Issued For Missing Teen

Montgomery and Chester counties have issued an alert for a teen believed to be endangered.

Both Montgomery and Chester counties have sent out alerts about a missing 16-year-old girl believed to be an endangered runaway. Her name is Jazmine Denby and she is from Norristown. The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children says she may go by the nickname Jazzy and that she went missing on last Tuesday. She is described as being 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighing about 120 pounds with brown hair and eyes. Photos show her wearing glasses. Homicide Defendant Has 5 Prior DUI Convictions, Judge Says

Judge tells Robert Landis 'this should have been done before' then sets bail at $1 million.

As Liam Crowley's devastated mother, father and girlfriend looked on Tuesday, District Court Judge William Kraut ordered Robert Elwood Landis held on $1 million cash bond in Crowley's death. Landis, who has five prior DUI convictions, is charged with multiple felony, misdemeanor and summary offenses in the death of 24-year-old Liam Crowley, of Chesterbrook, Tredyffrin Township. Crowley died after a pick-up truck that prosecutors said was driven by an intoxicated Landis struck his motorcycle on Route 202 in Westtown at about 10:30 p.m. on April 26. Crowley was airlifted to Paoli Hospital where he died two days later. Landis was arraigned in District Court 15-2-03 in the county service building Tuesday morning. After reading a list of 30 …
