The Royer-Greaves School for the Blind serves visually impaired children, teens and young adults. It also has a program for adults aged 22 through 59. Many of the students also have other physical disabilities, such as deafness, and cognitive disabilities that cover a broad range of developmental challenges. The school's goal is to help all students reach their maximum potential and become as self-sufficient as possible. Established in 1921, Royer-Greaves was the first school of its kind in the nation. It has been at its current location in Paoli since 1941.
