Members of the Paoli business community and the community at large turned out Friday eveing to support cool jazz on a hot summer night.
The Summer Breeze event at Royer-Greaves School for Blind is the last big fundraiser before the Paoli Blues Festival returns for a fourth year on October 6.
The evening featured music, food, and a silent auction on the lawn of the school which also donated the use of its grounds. The Paoli Blues Fest has rapidly become one of the region's premiere music and community events, drawing more than 15,000 people to the event in Paoli last year, with even more anticpated this years.
Organizers say Friday's Summer Breeze fundraiser will help insure there's enough funding to stage the event on October 6, which is free and open to all. It will also help the Blues Fest meet the requirements of a $10,000 Chester County Convention and Visitors Bureau matching challenge grant that will be used to pay for event publicity.
