What's going on in and around the Tredyffrin-Easttown Patch this weekend.

This week, enjoy a wide-range of fun in Tredyffrin-Easttown Patch. Enjoy carribean tunes and support the Paoli Blues Festival, learn about how the media has hurt girls and women's self-esteem, teens can participate in trivia night at the library, everyone can head to Phoenixville for a Harry Potter marathon or to West Chester to enjoy the last two nights of the Goshen Country Fair. There's something for everyone.

  • When/Where: Friday, August 3 at 5 p.m. at in Paoli.
  • Why Go: Support the annual Paoli Blues Festival by attending this fundraiser.  Drinks, food, and the sounds of Jimmy Buffet, reggae and oldies performed byt the Rob Dickenson Trio.  There will be a silent auction as well so you might not go home empty hande.

Miss. Representation

  • When/Where: Friday, August 3 at 7 p.m. at .
  • Why Go: Come support Ying Ying Shang, a Senior who will be presenting Miss. Representation, a documentary about how the media has contributed to the loss of self-confidence in girls, a subject very important to Shang who is working hard to earn the highest Girl Scout honor - the Gold Award.   The documentary will be followed by a discussion.

Books to Movies Trivia Night

  • When/Where: Wednesday, August 8 at 7pm at the .
  • Why Go: Tweens & Teens come out for a night of book trivia.  You will be randomly assigned a team and questions will be from the following books: Bridge to Terabithia, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Holes, How to Train Your Dragon, Hugo, The Lorax, Mr. Popper's Penguins, Voyage of the Dawn Treader, and Percy Jackson.
  • Cost: Free

  • When/Where: Saturday August 4 and Sunday August 5 at the .
  • Why Go: Because it's Harry!  Two days, eight movies and a boy wizard. Saturday will be the first five movies and on Sunday the last three.  Costumes encouraged.
  • Cost: $10 - $20

  • When/Where: Friday August 3 and Saturday August 4 at 1320 Park Ave West Chester
  • Why Go: These are the last two nights to enjoy cowpie bingo, live music, rides, sheep show and barbecue dinners.  The fair opens at 6 p.m. on Friday and 5 p.m. on Saturday.
  • Cost: Free entrance to grounds.
