TESD Schools Make Closing Decision for Wednesday

Decision will once again impact the school calendar.

The Tredyffrin/Easttown School District will be closed for students on Wednesday due to the snowy road conditions.

The decision to close schools for a fourth snow day of the school year will once again push the last day of school back a day in June.  The official last day of the school year will now be June 20, according to an announcement on the district website.

If there are any more snow days this winter, the next place on the calendar that the district will go for make-up days is the beginning of the scheduled spring vacation in April.  The next available make up days in the T/E District Calendar are:
  • Day 5: April 14, 2014
  • Day 6: April 15, 2014
  • Day 7: April 16, 2014
  • Day 8: April 17, 2014
You can see the full district calendar for April (as it stands as of today) on the TESD website.

Given that the next snow day will impact spring vacation are you hoping for no more snow days or would you just go on vacation as scheduled anyway in April?

Now the students won't be let out until almost the end of June! I would rather they start school the last week of August and get out sooner for summer.
