"Lettergate" Zoning Board Member Forced Out

Her criminal case ended but then a First Amendment firestorm erupted in Tredyffrin Township.

The case of a Tredyffrin Zoning Board member accused of public drunkeness and disorderly conduct ended in a not guilty ruling over the summer.

The case and the verdict touched off a firestorm of controversy and led to a police investigation and an internet showdown over the First Amendment right to free speech.

The not guilty verdict was declared after two Tredyffrin Police officers failed to appear in court. A police investigation found human error, a clerical mistake, was the reason the officers did not appear as scheduled in court. That was the official finding of the internal police investigation.

The case raised some questions in the news media about whether or not the woman benefited from outside influence because she at one time dated the Vice Chairman of the Tredyffrin Township Board of Supervisors. If Ms. Pratowski tendered her resignation on the 12th & it's been accepted by the BoS, why is she still listed (as of today, the 18th) as a member of the ZHB on the township website?

It's no secret that the site is not well maintained or updated. What does it matter? She's gone from her position. It will probably be updated on the site later. UNLESS SHE HASN'T REALLY RESIGNED AND IT'S ANOTHER CONSPIRACY BY THE BOS?!?!

You can say that again. Tredyffrin may as well not even waste the money on a website if they are only going to update it once a month. For as large of a township Tredyffrin is, that website is such a joke. It looks like it was created on GeoCities back in 2003.
