Corbett Reports $1.4M in First Quarter Campaign Fundraising

The first quarter fundraising puts Corbett's cash on hand total at $5.9 million.

Governor Tom Corbett’s re-election campaign raised $1.4 million in the first quarter, according to information released today. The first quarter fundraising puts his cash on hand total at $5.9 million.

"Our campaign is in a strong position from a fundraising and organizational perspective.  We are executing our plan that is rooted in building a grassroots structure with a heavy emphasis on using new technologies and data that will help us share Governor Corbett's message and record with the voters,” Corbett’s Campaign Manager Mike Barley said in a statement released Tuesday.

According to a recent Franklin & Marshall College poll, York County businessman Tom Wolf has a double-digit lead over his three rivals for the Democratic party nomination, according to an article on Pennlive.com.

The poll revealed that 33 percent of Pennsylvanians support Wolf. U.S. Rep. Allyson Schwartz, D-Montgomery County, earned the support of 7 percent of poll responders.

The primary is May 20.

Robert, do you know how bitter you sound? "Just because they hate Obama" - Really? Can you now even allow that they may have good reasons - like future costs overwhelming state resources? No, you are the problem. KAR - please document that my world is either hateful or confused. Project much?

lew you poor pathetic thing....like it's a big secret that they can't stand having a black president...even though he has more brains than all of them combined. It was made perfectly clear the day he was elected that they would obstruct anything and everything he did. Fillibuster after filibuster. corbin is thier little puppet....he does everything he is told to do.....he is a moron that can't think for himself. He rejected the Obama care and the medicare pachage even though it would have cost us not a single penny leaving hundreds of thousand in Pa without healthcare.....stick your future costs where your brains are........in your *ss.

Tim, Hang in there bud. It really does appear that having a civil dialogue with the left is rough, just follow this thread! It is a tactic of the left, to ignore facts when confronted and then move quickly to insult, bully and call any opposition an obscenity. You can't expect them to engage in the arena of ideas. They are infested with liberal groupthink about Gov "Corbin".

Do you think it is because the left is infested with liberal groupthink about corbin is the reason he is the lowest rated governor in history duane?

Thanks, Dwayne. It is often frustrating, but on principle I feel I must try. Robert, there were no "education cuts". The state spends more every year on schools. The "cuts" that Corbett is often accused of cutting is the money given to school districts in the Federal stimulus. Many school districts made the spending part of their yearly budget, even though they knew it was only temporary. Why would things be any different with Medicare?
