A 17-year-old boy admitted Wednesday that he sold marijuana at Harriton and Lower Merion high schools for the Main Line drug ring.
The teen, whose name was not released because he is a minor, told Judge Joseph A. Smyth that he had been dealing drugs since he was in the eighth grade, The Philadelphia Inquirer reported. The teen lives with his mother and stepfather in Bala Cynwyd, the Inquirer said.
The teen said in court that he used the social-networking site Instagram to sell his product, pushing $800 of pot per week, and that he specifically targeted "rich, white kids," the Inquirer reported.
The teen admitted three felonies on Wednesday, including possession with intent to distribute. He faces up to four years at a detention facility.
