Police Release Sketch of Trail Assault Suspect

Police are urging people to use extra caution while the man is on the loose.

Tredyffrin Township Police have released a sketch of the man they say assaulted a woman in broad daylight on Monday.

A woman was jogging alone on a trail near the Treyburn development off of Old Eagle School Road around 2:45 p.m. Monday when she saw a man, police told 6ABC. The man was sitting on a curb and asked for her help. When she neared him, he grabbed her and threw her to the ground.

The man attempted to sexually assault the jogger, but she was able to escape and call police. Tredyffrin Township Police responded with K-9 units, but were unable to locate the man, ABC said.

The man is described as a muscular very tan white or Hispanic man with a pronounced 6-inch scar on one of his calves.

Police are urging people to use extra caution while the man is on the loose.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Tredyffrin Township Police at 610-647-1440.

Will you avoid the area's trails while the man is on the loose?
