The case is under investigation.

Thefts of commercial used kitchen grease are on the rise nationally.  A search of the internet turns up story after story of theives trying to make a quick profit on the slick stuff which is used in bio-diesel fuel and can bring 40 cents per pound or more.

According to a report on the Quincy Mass. Patriot Ledger.com website "A Virginia company that collects cooking grease from 55,000 restaurants and renders it says it is losing up to $80,000 a week to theft. The company, Valley Proteins Inc., recently hired a lawyer to work with private investigators to track down grease thieves, the News Leader of Staunton, Va., reported."
