Car Stolen from Wayne Restaurant Lot

The car had been valet parked, and the keys were inside.


A car was stolen from the rear parking lot of in Wayne on Friday, Aug. 24 around 8:30 p.m.

According to a police report, a 2011 Honda Accord was parked by the valet in the back parking lot of the restaurant. The key was left inside of it. According to the valet, any car in the back parking lot must exit past him because of there is no other way out.

He told police he never saw the car leave; he said he went inside the restaurant once for a drink of water.

90 ? You must be joking. Most nonogenarians eat cereal for three meals a day and never think about venturing out in ice and snow. Plus, they shouldn't be driving at all.

Most of the customers are older... You get the point... But there are plenty of customers in their 90s that come in, I can name at least 10.

People in their 70s can be frail! Let's not argue age, especially since geezers in their late 80s and 90s (it happened recently) plow people down all the time when they are behind the wheel. And, how about some perspective here: auto thefts at valet car parks are a rarity.

I think this restaurant has a lot of older customers and posters are just trying to state the reason why valet parking is needed. I don't think anyone was trying to be insulting.
