Where's The Best Hoagie in TE?

Vote for your favorite hoage in Tredyffrin and Easttown in our Readers' Choice 2012 survey.

In this part of the world people are as passionate and particular about their hoagies as wine lovers are about where the grapes are grown or people in cities like Chicago and New York are about pizza.

What makes a great hoagie great for you? Is it the meats and cheeses, the extras or the rolls?

Patch wants to know: where's your favorite place to get a hoagie, sub, or grinder (as some New England transplants call them) in TE?

No doubt we'll miss somebody's favorite. If we do, please tell us about it in the comments section at the bottom of the article.

Is the best place for hoagies: Neopolitan Deli, Our Deli, , , , , or some place else we missed.

We hear you, John's Village Market fans. John's has been added to the poll.

The poll will close at 9 a.m. on Friday.

Winners will be determined by a new set of rules. We've implemented a point system in which the actual votes here will now account for 50 percent of the decision. How highly each business or location is rated on its Patch Place listing will account for the other half.

Thank you for the overwhelming support to all our loyal customer!! It's because of you guys that we've been in business in Berwyn for almost 30 years, and still going stronger than ever! Thank you!

Johns Village Market puts all of the above to shame. My guess is they are not listed because they do not fit into a category of generic. If you're looking for the authentic crusty roll, meat filled, perfectly seasoned trifecta of a hoagie, Johns is the place to go. Besides, who gets a hoagie from a pizza place?...just saying
Lex May 16, 2012 at 04:47 PM
Good question! Let's rally!
William J. Cambell May 16, 2012 at 05:22 PM
Lex Great points overall and I would add who gets a hoagie from Wawa? Still no answer from the editor on why john's is not on the list, what a joke.

John's Village Market has the best hoagies in town!!!!
William J. Cambell May 16, 2012 at 05:56 PM
Should Wawa even be on the T/E patch website? The wawa near the acme in Devon is actually in Radnor and I am not but sure but is the one in Paoli even in Tredyffrin or Easttown townships?
Mark Evenson May 16, 2012 at 06:04 PM
JVM needs to bo on this list. What a gross oversight!
cast4 May 16, 2012 at 06:53 PM
Yeah, the one in Paoli is in Tredyffrin township.

Yes, I'm reading the comments! Yes, we are adding John's Village Market to the poll.. and don't worry each comment counts toward the total. Keep the comments coming for your favorite Hoagie in Tredyffrin. And Yes, the Wawa in Paoli is part of the Paoli Patch territory. The WAWA near the Acme in Devon is a small geographical overlap area between Radnor and TE Patch. In the event of a tie, Radnor Editor Sam Strike and I will meet for a hoagie showdown in the parking lot! ;-P Thanks everybody, keep the comments coming for JVM or YOUR favorite hoagie place. You can make comments in support of your favorite by clicking on their directory listings. The more star ratings and comments you add to a Patch Directory listing the more it counts in the poll. (To find a directory listing just click on the Directory tab at under the mast head at the top of the page. You can also type the business' name in the search box).

Claiming your listing lets you update your directory listing, add photos, spread the word about specials, etc. If you have any questions about how to claim your listing or about all the powerful, free business tools claiming a listing unlocks, send me an email or give me a call. Come on over to Radnor Patch to vote for John's Village Market in Wayne! Right now Wawa is winning the poll... http://radnor.patch.com/articles/vote-for-best-hoagie-in-radnor
Bill May 17, 2012 at 12:05 PM
John's Village Market in Berwyn and Wayne make the BEST hoagies on the entire main line! They should've been on the list from the beginning, they would definitely be winning!
Henry May 17, 2012 at 12:56 PM
Johns Village Market in Berwyn!!! No one on the Mainline comes close! Best Hoagies since 1978!!
Allen May 17, 2012 at 08:16 PM
Definitely John's Village Market! No contest! Whether it's the Berwyn location, or Wayne location, John's sandwiches are always great. Fresh rolls, thinly sliced meats and cheeses (and a lot of it), and fresh cut produce. John's will always be the best!
Allen May 17, 2012 at 08:17 PM
How can Wawa be winning the poll when John's Village Market is in town?!?! Come on people!
VBF May 17, 2012 at 08:38 PM
John's Village Market!!! By far the best Hoagie! Why would you go anywhere else?!
Henry May 18, 2012 at 02:05 AM
Can someone tell me how WaWa is beating out John's Market!? This is a huge mistake Patch! WaWa is a chain that sells preprocessed garbage, not a local TE family owned business that has been serving our community for 35years!
Allen May 18, 2012 at 02:11 AM
Totally agreed Henry! Can you even call what Wawa makes hoagies??
Allen May 18, 2012 at 02:11 AM
But John's would've definitely beat Wawa if they had been on the list from the beginning!
George55 May 18, 2012 at 02:17 AM
Johns Is the Best! Always consistent, huge, freshly sliced, perfect hoagie! Johns Village Market all the way!!
Christine May 18, 2012 at 03:53 AM
Johns belongs in a category of its own- definitely the best hoagies!!
Bill May 18, 2012 at 05:37 AM
Bill May 18, 2012 at 05:38 AM
Totally agreed!

John's Village Market May 18, 2012 at 12:32 PM
Thanks for all the support guys! We love our customers!
Allen May 18, 2012 at 12:37 PM
John's has only been on the list for 1 day and they've already got over 80 votes! What would they have gotten if they were on from the beginnin?! We love John's!!
Barbara M May 18, 2012 at 12:52 PM
No contest!! - John's is the best hoagie - all you need do is eat one to know!!
JasonStogaGen May 18, 2012 at 01:07 PM
Have you ever tried the Roast Pork sandwich? If you love the hoagies, you'll love the Pork! Its homemade at Johns everyday from scratch..it's one of my favorites!
