Weekend: Local Photography Show, Sale & Symposium; Author Lecture

If you’re looking for some fun this weekend in between preparations for the next winter storm, head to St. David’s Church.

The weather is supposed to be warm Saturday, so enjoy it while you can and head out to St. David’s Church in Wayne.

Volunteers were at the church earlier this week as local photographers dropped off their pictures.

You can enjoy those photos in the Art of Faith Photography Show & Sale Saturday between 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m.to 5:30 p.m. in the church’s Fellowship Hall. The pictures are also available for purchase.

And if you’re interested in photography, you may also want to stop by the photography symposium Sunday from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. in the choir room moderated by Tom Petro.

Also Sunday, author Beth Kephart will hold two sessions talking about her books. Kephart is the award winning author of 16 books, including five memoirs. She teaches creative nonfiction at the University of Pennsylvania, is a frequent contributor to the Philadelphia Inquirer, Chicago Tribune and Publishing Perspectives.This event will have two sessions. If, you’re interested in attending one or both sessions, please RSVP.

1:30 - Kephart will talk about memoir and her book on the subject, Handling the Truth.

2:30 - Break for refreshments and book signing

3 - Kephart will talk about the two young adult books, Dangerous Neighbors and Dr. Radway.

St. David’s Church is located at 763 S. Valley Forge Rd., Wayne.
