Even More Options for New Year's Eve Fun

From the Upper Main Line to the riverfront in Philadelphia and all over the western suburbs, New Year's Eve events start with kid-friendly "countdown to noon" events and go well into the night.

TE Patch has brought you information on best local restaurants and bars and polled you to find some of the best local places for ringing in the new year. in addition to the options in Tredyffrin and Easttown, there is a lot to choose from throughout the region. If you have kids, we've included some other options that might be a better fit for the way you'd like to ring in 2012.

From Devon and TE, to the Riverfront Fireworks in Philadelphia at 6 p.m. and midnight, New Year's Eve is a happening night all around the Delaware Valley.

Many towns and neighborhoods boast numerous Dec. 31 offerings. Below is a large, but hardly comprehensive, list of festivities in parts of Northwest Philadelphia, the Main Line, and suburban Montgomery and Delaware counties. Please add other options in the comments.

Fireworks on the Delaware Riverfront

When: 6 p.m. and Midnight

Summary: Free public fireworks displays will light up the skies over the Delaware River at 6 p.m. and again at midnight.
