Needle Felting: From Fleece to Fantastic

Needle felting is an easy and fun fiber craft with which you can create wonderful jewelry, sculpture, ornaments, and even appliqued embellishments for your favorite bag, scarf, or other item. There's no need to count stitches or follow patterns, instead you simply stab the wool fleece into shape with a special needle. Learn a variety of needle felting techniques and make your very own felted ornament, brooch, sculpture, or embellishment. Go home with all the materials you need to continue felting!

Materials kit includes foam working surface, needles, rubber thimbles and nine colors of wool as well as the use of pin backs, glue, wire, magnets, earring findings, and tools.

If you would like to do applique work please bring the material or item you would like to applique. fabrics such as polar fleece, wool, flannel, and natural fibers work well, but you are welcome to try with any type of fabric or item, such as bags or winter hats, that can be stabbed with a needle repeatedly.

Cost: $55 members, $65 non-members, which includes materials.
