Located in nearby Lancaster County, the 50-acre Shenk's Ferry Wildlife Preserve maintains one of the most impressive collections of native wildflowers in the eastern United States. At the spring peak there are more than 70 species in full bloom, including Virginia bluebells, wild geraniums, mayapples and trilliums. The main walking path is approximately one mile long with fairly flat terrain. Please dress appropriately and bring picnic lunch and water. Transportation included in cost.
