A truck carrying in-home medical oxygen tanks apparently lost control, clipped an SUV before smashing into a poll and flipping onit side on the Devon Park Boiulveard exit of 202 North Monday night.
No details of the investigation were immediately available but a Berwyn Fire Company official tells Patch the box truck was carrying home-use medical oxygen tanks.
The truck was uprighted with no complications as firefighters stood by in case of any problems.
The front left side of the box truck was smashed as was the right rear of a Ford Expedition that appears to have been hit by the box truck before the box truck smashed into a metal sign pole and flipped, coming to rest facing in the opposite direction of traffic.
At least one driver, an as yet unidentified white man, was taken to Paoli Hospital by a Berwyn Fire Company ambulance.
The accident happened around 7:30 p.m. and blocked the exit ramp for a little over 90 minutes in fog and patchy ice conditions Monday night.
