Meet Your New Editor, Pete Kennedy

I'm the guy in the blue shirt.

Hello, fellow Tredyffrin-Easttown Patch readers,

...and bloggers and commenters and calendar-event-posters...

...and administrators and business-owners and communications professionals...

My name is Pete, and I'm the new local editor of Tredyffrin-Easttown Patch. I've been the editor of Malvern Patch for about two years, since its launch, Dec. 30, 2010.

Bob Byrne did a great job launching this site and making it a vital organ in the community. He's now applying his skills to two sites in Delaware County, as I oversee Malvern and TE.

You might have seen my name on this site a few times already—Bob and I shared a byline on the sinking fire truck story, among others.

I'm looking forward to covering TE, and we have plenty of time to get to know each other. But I will take the opportunity to say that I enjoy finding answers to readers' questions. There are two examples on Malvern Patch today: What are all these vultures doing in my trees? And,

Also joining me will be Eric Campbell as Community Manager, helping on TE Patch's Facebook or Twitter accounts and reaching out to community members to help post events, announcements and blogs.

If you have a question or just want to say hi, reach me by email, Facebook or Twitter. Thanks for reading.

Hello, Pete and welcome. I have been with TE PATCH since it first appeared and often only one artilce a day. Bob Byrne has been TE PATCH; always responsive and did an excellent job of growing it. While I'm sure you are wonderful, I am kind of sad to see Bob Byrne leave TE PATCH. Will he still be in PATCH in the Delaware developmental endeavors? Will you have a place to post "thank you's" to Bob? Good luck with the next chapter of TE PATCH. Best wishes, Barbara Cresswell

Pete and Eric, welcome to our community. You have a tall order to fill, Bob did a wonderful job keeping us updated on important events in T/E. As a member of the Berwyn Devon Business & Professional Assoc (BDBPA) I'll make sure that we invite you to our monthly meetings. They normally take place in one of the local businesses. Great way to meet the business community.

Welcome Pete, you have big shoes to fill. Bob did a great job for our community but I know that you will too! I look forward to working with you and adding posts from Community Matters, www.pattyebenson.org when appropriate. As co-chair (with Marie Thibault) of the annual Paoli Blues Fest, thank you for including photos from 2012 with this post. We are well underway in the planning for the 5th Annual Paoli Blues Fest, October 5, 2013 and hope that we can count on support from TE Patch as we have in the past. And if there's anyone interested in joining the Blues Fest committee, please contact me at tredyffrincommunitymatters@gmail.com -- the festival committee is a great group of people that make working on this event fun!

Marc February 21, 2013 at 03:39 PM
