Your complete Blues Fest Guide

It's Paoli's day in the spotlight. The Fourth annual Paoli Blues Fest runs from 12noon-6 p.m. today along Lancaster Avenue in Paoli.

Visit Patch at the Blues Fest

Patch will be there and we hope you will join us and stop by to say hello at the Patch Sponsor tent near Nudy's cafe in the Shoppes of Paoli VIllage Shopping Center.

Where to Find Everything at the 2012 Paoli Blues Fest

The Blues Fest is spread out for several blocks along Lancaster Ave. It's an easy walk from one stage venue to the other. Parking is available in several lots and if you're coming from anywhere along the Main Line or from Center City to Thorndale, consider taking the train. The SEPTA Paoli Station is literally in the middle of it all.

The Music Line-Up

Some of the biggest bands on the East Coast will be performing. Here's a link to the concert stage performance schedule.  Students from the Music Workshop in Berwyn will be warming up the crowd starting at 11:15, before Midnight Shift takes the stage at high noon. The Blues Fest Website describes Midnight Shift as "a high energy band that specializes in what they call Rhythm, Rockin’ Boogie"

Fun for the Whole Family

There's plenty of fun for kids and families as well as adults. An entire kids-themes area will be set up near the bank and Cutters Mill store at the West end of the Paoli Village Shoppes complex. (Note: this is a change from last year when the kidszone was at Malvern Federal across Lancaster Ave and East of the Main Stage).

The Phillie Phanatic will be making a special appearance Saturday afternoon at 4 p.m.and there will be arts, crafts, music and other activities for kids.

Here's a rundown of family-friendly fun at the Blues fest.

At the Heart of it All

The Blues Fest is not only a major regional attraction which drew well over 15 thousand people in 2011, it's all about the TE community. The price of admission is a voluntary contribution to help food banks feed the hungry.  It's the result of tireless efforts by a long list of volunteers lead by event co-chairs Marie Thebault and Pattye Benson.

Click here to read Pattye's Patch Blog about the event and the really cool car that will be in Paoli to celebrate the occasion.

Everyone at the Fest is invited to stop by the Tredyffrin Dems table if you need a voter registration form (they're due this Tuesday) or an absentee ballot application.
