The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) today announced that Old Lancaster Road will be closed and detoured between U.S. Route 30 (Lancaster Avenue) and Conestoga Road in Tredyffrin Township, Chester County, from June 30 through July 3 for drainage improvements. Old Lancaster Road will be closed each day from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
During the operation, Old Lancaster Road through traffic will be detoured over Route 30 (Lancaster Avenue), Bridge Street, and Conestoga Road. Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the area.
A PennDOT Chester County maintenance crew will rebuild four inlets on Old Lancaster Road under the railroad overpass to improve storm water drainage.
