Labor Day Weekend may be the proverbial "unofficial end of summer" but it also marks the "unofficial start" of many fall seasons, including back to school season and the start of a landmark theater season in TE.
Footlighters Celebrates 85th Season with Opening Night Party on the Lawn.
Weather permitting Footlighers Theater on Main Avenue in Berwyn will celebrate the start of its 85th Season Friday night with a gala reception on the lawn before the curtain rises its first production of the season. The WXTU Ice Cream Truck will be on hand for the party at 7 p.m. at the theater which is across the street from St. Monica's Church. In the event of inclement weather the reception will be moved inside the theater.

Classes don't start until Tuesday, but football season starts Friday night at 7 p.m. for Conestoga High School. The Pioneers kick of the 2013 Season against Owen J. Roberts with a home game at Teamer Field.

While the football game may be one of the big weekend sports headlines, Conestoga Girls and Boys Soccer, Girls and Boys Cross Country, Girls Volleyball, Field Hockey and Cheerleading all start their seasons Friday night.
