Live Christian Rock Band Concert

  • When: Friday, Jan. 18 at 7:30 p.m.
  • Where: Paoli United Methodist Church 81 Devon Rd, Paoli
  • Why Go: The Christian Rock Band "One of Six" will perform on Friday night at Paoli Methodist. One of Six is a newly formed Christian Praise & Worship/ Original Rock band based in Vineland New Jersey.  This event is open and free to the community - all ages are welcome!
  • Cost: Free

Brit Pop Show

  • When: Friday, Jan. 18 and Saturday, Jan. 19 at 7:30 p.m.
  • Where: Main Line School of Rock, 511 Old Lancaster Rd, Berwyn
  • Why Go:  Come out for a night of British pop, focusing on the sounds of the early '90s featuring bands such as Pulp, Oasis and Blur on through the '00s with bands such as Franz Ferdinand, The Kaiser Chiefs and the Arctic Monkeys.

John Byrne Band

  • When: Saturday, Jan. 19 at 8 p.m.
  • Where: The Music Workshop Performance Annex 6 Main Ave, Berwyn
  • Why Go: Enjoy this all ages, BYOB show featuring celtic folk music by the John Byrne Band.
  • Cost: $10

Lecture: Hybridizing Evergreen Azaleas

  • When: Sunday, Jan. 20 from 2 - 3:30 p.m.
  • Where: Jenkins Arboretum 631 Berwyn Baptist Rd, Devon
  • Why Go: The Valley Forge Chapter of the American Rhododendron Society is hosting a series of informative lectures. All lectures are free of charge and no pre-registration is required. This is hte first lecture of the winter season and will be presented by Joseph Klimavicz, Azalea Hybridizer.
  • Cost: Free

Tredyffrin Easttown Historical Society's Annual Member Meeting

  • When: Sunday, Jan. 20 at 2 p.m.
  • Where: Easttown Library
  • Why Go: If you want to get involved in the historical society, come to this member meeting.  The meeting will cover official business, such as the election of officers (and ratification of modified by-laws if necessary), followed by brief presentations on the Society's status and ongoing activities, including new additions to the Web site, the Digitization Project, the History Quarterly and other publications, the archives, and other important initiatives. Refreshments will be provided, and this is a great opportunity to meet and talk with other members and the leadership of the Society.
