Welcome back, Patch Blogger!

Where's The Best Hoagie in TE?

Vote for your favorite hoage in Tredyffrin and Easttown in our Readers' Choice 2012 survey.

In this part of the world people are as passionate and particular about their hoagies as wine lovers are about where the grapes are grown or people in cities like Chicago and New York are about pizza.

What makes a great hoagie great for you? Is it the meats and cheeses, the extras or the rolls?

Patch wants to know: where's your favorite place to get a hoagie, sub, or grinder (as some New England transplants call them) in TE?

No doubt we'll miss somebody's favorite. If we do, please tell us about it in the comments section at the bottom of the article.

Is the best place for hoagies: Neopolitan Deli, Our Deli, Primo Hoagies, Berwyn Pizza, Subway, Wawa, or some place else we missed.

We hear you, John's Village Market fans. John's has been added to the poll.

The poll will close at 9 a.m. on Friday.

Winners will be determined by a new set of rules. We've implemented a point system in which the actual votes here will now account for 50 percent of the decision. How highly each business or location is rated on its Patch Place listing will account for the other half.

Martini's Italian Market in Paoli was the best until they closed up several weeks ago, I'll have to go with my backup - John's Village Market.

Wawa is leading the poll after over 136 votes - seriously? I love Wawa but their hoagies are as bland and light on meats and cheese as they come.

JVM needs to bo on this list. What a gross oversight!

Johns Village Market puts all of the above to shame. My guess is they are not listed because they do not fit into a category of generic. If you're looking for the authentic crusty roll, meat filled, perfectly seasoned trifecta of a hoagie, Johns is the place to go.

Besides, who gets a hoagie from a pizza place?...just saying

Great points overall and I would add who gets a hoagie from Wawa? Still no answer from the editor on why john's is not on the list, what a joke.

Should Wawa even be on the T/E patch website? The wawa near the acme in Devon is actually in Radnor and I am not but sure but is the one in Paoli even in Tredyffrin or Easttown townships?

Yes, I'm reading the comments! Yes, we are adding John's Village Market to the poll.. and don't worry each comment counts toward the total. Keep the comments coming for your favorite Hoagie in Tredyffrin. And Yes, the Wawa in Paoli is part of the Paoli Patch territory. The WAWA near the Acme in Devon is a small geographical overlap area between Radnor and TE Patch.

In the event of a tie, Radnor Editor Sam Strike and I will meet for a hoagie showdown in the parking lot! ;-P Thanks everybody, keep the comments coming for JVM or YOUR favorite hoagie place.

You can make comments in support of your favorite by clicking on their directory listings. The more star ratings and comments you add to a Patch Directory listing the more it counts in the poll. (To find a directory listing just click on the Directory tab at under the mast head at the top of the page. You can also type the business' name in the search box).

John's Village Market in Berwyn and Wayne make the BEST hoagies on the entire main line! They should've been on the list from the beginning, they would definitely be winning!

Definitely John's Village Market! No contest! Whether it's the Berwyn location, or Wayne location, John's sandwiches are always great. Fresh rolls, thinly sliced meats and cheeses (and a lot of it), and fresh cut produce. John's will always be the best!

Can someone tell me how WaWa is beating out John's Market!? This is a huge mistake Patch! WaWa is a chain that sells preprocessed garbage, not a local TE family owned business that has been serving our community for 35years!
