Eagle-eyed drivers and observant Patch readers may have noticed something missing over Lancaster Avenue over the weekend.
A history-making banner that was hung over Lancaster Avenue Friday morning disappered almost as quickly as it appeared.
The banner made history because it is the first-ever to clear all the bureaucratic hurdles to get the ok to be hung over Lancaster Avenue in Berwyn.
Now you see it, now you don't
According to informed sources, there was a glitch with a piece of the rigging hardware used to hang the banner and it came down in an apparent high wind sometime around noon on Friday. There were no injuries and no traffic incidents caused when the banner came down.
A banner project insider tells Patch that the hardware problem has been corrected and crews are expected to be back out Monday morning to re-hang the banner.
