Alleged Paoli Home Invaders Face Judge
Three men are charged with a home invasion robbery. It is one of two home invasion cases in Tredyffrin Township in recent weeks.
Three men have been ordered to stand trial on charges stemming from a middle-of-the-night home invasion at a Paoli townhouse on Jan. 13.
Chesterbrook District Court Magistrate Analisa Sondergaard ordered the case against Dante Bruce Alston, 32, of Paoli, Craig Alexander Brown, 34, of Paoli and Kenneth Owen Durrell, 34, of Philadelphia bound over for trial in Chester County Common Pleas court.
The three defendants are accused of breaking into a townhouse occupied by two men in the middle of the night. According to affidavits of probable cause filed in the case, three men broke in through a rear window of the ground floor townhouse after the two men inside refused to open the front door. Tredyffrin Police say the break-in happened around 3 a.m.
The two alleged victims in the crime testified against the defendants during a preliminary hearing Friday morning in Chesterbrook. The men who were inside the home did not call police to report the crime.
A Tredyffrin Police detective in the case tells Patch the home invasion was not reported until several days later when a concerned citizen contacted police.
According to affidavits of probable cause filed in the case, at least one of the two men who live in the condo had a small amount of marijuana. That's what detectives say the robbers appeared to be after.
The alleged victims of the home invasion have not been charged.
In affidavits filed in the case, Police say one of the two alleged victims reported that robbers took "two ounces of marijuana that was contained in a large plastic bag along with $85 in U.S. currency."
The three defendants in the case are being held in Chester County Prison on multiple felony and misdemeanor charges.

These men provide 3 very good reasons for Americans citizens to arm themselves to defend themselves & their families. A semi-automatic is absolutely required when anyone is attacked by 3 assailants. It's your right to choose not to arm/defend yourself & your family, it's not your right to tell other Americans that they cannot.
Really?!

What a dumb comment. Nobody was harmed except for the window. If these guys had guns, then it would have resulted in a shootout, with possible multiple deaths. Would that have been better than some guys having their weed stolen?
