Second Prostitution Bust this Month in Devon
A woman and man are arrested, accused of prostitution at the Courtyard by Marriott.
According to a press release issued by Tredyffrin Police Friday morning, "officers made contact with " Valerie Andreeva,27, of Philadelphia and Joel J. Davenport, 43, of Audubon, PA at the hotel on Wednesday, (July 25) at 12:30 a.m. .
According to police, the investigation determined that "Andreeva was transported by Davenport to the local hotel for the express purpose of prostitution. Further investigation discovered that Andreeva worked for an agency that provided the names of the prospective 'clients.'"
The press release makes no mention of a perspective client or whether any john was even present when the suspects were arrested.
Specifics of why police were called to the hotel in the first place and how the arrest was made have not yet been released. That information is generally made available in charging documents when the case comes to court for a preliminary hearing.
Andreeva is charged with prostitution and (suspected) heroin posession.
Davenport is charged with promoting prostitution and criminal conspiracy.
Both suspects were released pending summons process.
A date for a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Thomas Tartaglio in Devon District Court# 15-1-02 has not been set, according to police.
