Paoli's Newest Eatery Expected to Open Soon
A popular local cafe chain is on track for a big opening in July.
From custard shop to breakfast stop, the newest Nudy's Cafe is expected to open soon inside the former Jake's Custard location on Lancaster Ave. in Paoli.
A spokeswoman for the Paoli VIllage Shoppes says the new cafe will have seating for 50 and is expected to open by mid-July. That is the same target date a Nudy's official gave Patch several months ago when the lease was signed for the new cafe.
This will be the eighth Nudy's Cafe location, which includes seven restaurants in Chester County. The family-owned chain is headquartered in Devon.
The Nudy's sign has been up on Lancaster Avenue for more than a month now, and a Paoli Village Shoppes official say work has been moving forward inside teh restaurant which is expected to open its doors within the next few weeks.

I love their menu too, but the second time I ever ate there it was at the one at Conestoga and Lancaster Ave, and there was a long strip of plastic in my hash browns.....Haven't been back since. I'm afraid to go to any Nudy's after that...But maybe a NEW one will be better....?

Amanda -- Nudy's has been around for a long, long time, and it's unfortunate that you had an issue. Ray Nudy built all these restaurants and is a dedicated business person who has gone from being the cook behind the stove in Devon to a major employer in this community. Please don't share a single experience as an example....and give them another try. We often go to Frazer for Sunday brunch because the Devon sitting is so crowded. And if you had a problem, I hope you told them about it, as I am more than certain that they would be as upset as you.

Hi Pat. Thanks for your contribution to my experience, however I don't think you should tell me not to share my experience; I didn't trash talk the place, I gave a fact-based example and I think it's only fair that all types of experiences be discussed. In fact, I even admitted that I'd only been to that one location, the one time, and that perhaps a new one would be a whole different experience.

Hey Amanda, You are correct in your view, even if it was one event. I can add that I've had several bad experiences at Nudys over the years. each time I "give it another try" but leave disappointed. The service is always ok, not great but above average, but the food quality is poor. Big portions of low quality food does not make this a better choice than others in the area. In my opinion the food is bad, plin and simple.
