Paoli Fire Co. Assists on Massive Barn Fire

It was first reported as a wood and brush fire, but quickly turned out to be something much more serious.

A cold-weather fire occurred at approximately 8:40 p.m. on Feb. 17, 2013, at a property on Providence Road in Newtown Square.

 

Paoli Fire Company first responders were among seven fire stations called in to help fight a massive barn fire in frigid temperatures Sunday night in Newtown Square.

The fire was first reported at 8:38 p.m. as a wood and brush fire. The first firefighters on the scene immediately saw that the situation was far more serious. Fire crews from Delaware and Chester Counties were called in to help fight the blaze.
