OMG PD: Man Shoots Truck With Bow and Arrow

Check out these unusual police stories from the Greater Philadelphia area.

No Word if the Man Came Back for his Arrow: According to a report from Roxborough Patch, an unknown male threw a rock and fired an arrow at a Stanley Steemer truck on 4600 Flatrock Road in Manayunk. Two employees told police a shirtless man with long blond hair wearing tan shorts and black boots threw a rock that cracked the windshield of an orange 2005 Ford work van. After they stopped the van, the man shot a 36-inch arrow with a long fishing line attached to it at the van, despite the fact that it is 2012. No one was injured in the incident.

Slippery Bandit Charged: According to a report from Bala Cynwyd Patch, a Philadelphia man has been charged with stealing $200 worth of soap in three days from the City Avenue CVS, Lower Merion police said. The man was observed shoplifting $95 worth of Dove soap before he was stopped by police.

Real-Life Bumper Cars: According to a report from Phoenixville Patch, police followed a Pottstown man on an early-morning car chase that included heading the wrong way on one-way streets, blowing several stop signs and colliding with 10 different parked cars before being apprehended.

Patch welcomes and encourages debate and conversation on our stories. We want to foster an environment in which people feel comfortable participating in that conversation and users who continually violate our terms of service and create a hostile environment for our users and editors will have their accounts suspended. We don't do it often, and we don't take it lightly.

These police reports are quite like the ones featured in The Bozeman (Montana) Daily Chronicle. Often really amusing and "stranger than fiction" Keep up the good work with these.

Does anyone remember the incident in Radnor sometime in the mid 1990's when some stuffed animals were stolen from a woman's car are mailed back to her in pieces? It was a cover story in the Suburban.

"'despite the fact that it is 2012." I've read this story four times. What does that mean?
