Giving Kids A World View Without Leaving Home
Berwyn author Homa Sabet Tavanga offers ideas for teaching kids about the world..even while having summer fun...Wednesday at the Paoli Library.
There are probably as many approaches to parenting as there are cultures in the world. And here in the melting pot of American culture it's often hard to know which way to go. That's where Berwyn author Homa Sabet Tavanga comes in with her book: Growing Up Global: Raising Children to be at Home in the World.
Tavanga has ideas and fun ways to introduce children to the geography and cultures of the world, without making it seem like work or, even worse, homework. Tavagna is a mother of three children.
Tavanga will speak Wednesday Night at 7p.m. in the meeting room of the Paoli Library. Admission is free but because space is limited the library requests advance registration. Call the library at 610.296.7996 to register or email Beverly Michaels, bmichaels@ccls.org.
