Two Charged in Easttown Burglaries
Two Delaware men charged with multiple felonies are believed to have also burglarized several homes in Delaware County, according to police.
Easttown Police say two men who are facing charges for a string of burglaries in Delaware County are also the culprits behind three recent Easttown burglaries.
Daniel Robert Eberly, 27, of Claymont, DE, and Gregory George Kramedas, 68, of Wilmington, DE, were caught burglarizing a Marple Township home earlier this month, according to Marple police.
Physical evidence found in a vehicle used by the men in that case has been linked to three open burglary investigations in Easttown, according to Easttown Police.
On Wednesday, Easttown Police charged the men with multiple felonies, including burglary and receiving stolen property.
Marple Newtown Patch reported the circumstances of the duo's arrest earlier this month, which started when a Marple Township resident returned home to find a damaged door and noises coming from inside the home:
The homeowner did not go inside the house and called police immediately.
At about the same time, Marple Police Officer Peter Baylor, who was off-duty at the time, was driving on Sproul Road near Arden Road and noticed a champagne-colored Ford Focus parked on the road, Richter said.
Police had been shown a photo of a Ford Focus that had been a suspected vehicle used in multiple burglaries in Marple Township and other area municipalities, [Lt. Matthew] Richter said.
Judge Thomas Tartaglio set bail for the Easttown charges at $50,000 cash for Kramedas and $25,000 cash for Eberly. Both men were unable to post bail. They are being held at Delaware County Prison because of the charges in Marple and Upper Providence townships.
Some items found in the vehicle were not linked to any known crimes, and police are urging any victims of unreported burglaries to contact their local police departments.
